Airball
Airballs are flying sports balls designed for aerial sports, or outdoor sports with environments suited for Air Aether. Each airball contains a small, enchanted core and a Mindshard capable of advanced programming. The exterior is typically leathery or otherwise soft, suitable for player interaction. Airballs excel at interacting with air and Air Aether, allowing them to maneuver with unusual agility in aerial environments.
Airship
Airships are rare vehicles that use Air Aether to levitate, and Fire Aether for significantly improved propulsion during the day. Pilots often change altitudes to make use of different wind patterns. They can reach up to 30 to 40 kilometers per hour when following a strong wind. Against headwinds, they typically can only reach speeds of about 2 to 5 kilometers per hour, which pilots typically avoid. Speed improves by roughly 50 kilometers per hour while the sun is up and the fire propulsion is active. Airships can be docked at Skyports, and are used regularly by the military for scouting and warfare.
Enchanted Sail
Enchanted Sails are used on ships to reap the benefits of winds at sea. Infused with a simple form of Aethertech, these sails can repel or manipulate the flow of nearby air currents to favor a particular direction. Even with this simple effect they typically raise the speed of a ship by roughly 50%, making it a very cost-effective choice for sea captains.
Wingsuit
Wingsuits are winged equipment constructed from lightweight metal frames that enable flight in areas with sufficient Air Aether. Though older models are still in circulation, modern variants are sleeker, faster, sustain more weight, offer enhanced hover stability and tighter turn radii, and can be activated with Chi for initial takeoffs in low-wind environments. Users require advanced training due to the suit's complexity and potential dangers, especially in low Air Aether environments where takeoff is much more challenging and flight depends on maintaining forward momentum.
Wingsuits are exclusive to Sky Knights, elite Adventurers that focus on air superiority and ranged combat. The Adventurer's Guild has a standing order to purchase as many Wingsuits as Skyforge can engineer. Several are in development at a time, allowing them to finish a new suit roughly once every eighteen months.
Enchanted Bow
Enchanted Bows are bows that can channel Air Aether, allowing a trained user to generate an aerial trajectory that a fired arrow will be inclined to follow. This allows the user to lightly steer their arrows, making certain trick shots possible and improving the range, speed, and precision of their attacks. Sky Knights are each assigned an Enchanted Bow as part of their elite equipment, and many high-ranking Rangers also possess them.
Amplifier
Amplifiers are hand-held devices that allow someone to extend the range of sounds played near it. Depending on its design, it may also focus the direction. Some variants will not significantly raise volume, but instead expand the range by a factor of two to five times the natural distance.
Amplifiers are often kept at important military stations along the Stormcrest Mountain Range. These can relay urgent messages and warning signals across a distance. They are also integrated into certain venues, particularly at the Bardic College and important arenas, to provide a better listening experience for attendees.
Enchanted Instrument
Enchanted Instruments are musical instruments infused with Air Aether, granting musicians unprecedented control over sound. These instruments can seamlessly shift timbre, resonance, and tone, allowing for precise sonic manipulation and the creation of unique musical expression.
Windfield Generator
Windfield Generators are devices that generate localized fields of concentrated Air Aether, creating a wind barrier against physical forces, particularly those of an airborne nature. Ranging in size from chest-sized mobile units to large, stationary installations, these generators can deflect projectiles and impede the movement of creatures, especially those in flight.
Air Purifier
Air purifiers siphon and collect dust, smoke, vapors, scents, gases, loose debris, and other contaminants from the air. They can be easily modified to vent into a specific area or deposit contaminants into a container.
