Communication
- The Courier's Guild uses many systems to send messages, written or otherwise.
- Couriers and Ondori Dolphins deliver written messages and packages to most settlements.
- Bird Familiars, such as Jaykings, can be used for discreet, high-quality messages.
- Emergency protocols may include long-distance underwater signals.
- The Archivist's Guild relays critical intelligence through the Archivist hive mind.
- Glyphstones, while rarely used in modern times, can relay simple signals through the earth.
Comm Towers
- Large towers that enable city-wide broadcasting and communication to Mindshards.
- Can also relay broadcasts to and from the Stormcrest Comm Tower.
- Theaters and certain major establishments possess tuned Mindshards that receive these broadcasts.
- Can maintain over two hundred Mindshard-to-Mindshard connections within several kilometers, enabling calls.
- All communications on the network can, in theory, be monitored by the Archivist's Guild.
- Constructed with the assistance of Aedron, God of Crafting, and Lexica, Goddess of the Mind.
- Operated by the Archivist's Guild under the Broadcast Director.
- Constructed at Stormcrest, Arcanus, Haven, Titania, Skywood, Onyx, Meris, and Aegis.
- Three more are under construction in Starfell, Eldara, and Riven.
- Comm Towers can sustain up to three broadcasting streams, accessible to any Mindshards within the city.
- Channel 1 is News: Politics, Civic Affairs, Public Announcements, Demonic Alerts, Religion, etc.
- Channel 2 is Entertainment: Sports, Competitions, Major Events, Ceremonies, etc.
- Channel 3 is Special Purpose: Generally used for military or guild purposes.
- Access to the Comm Tower comms network is usually available, but VIPs have priority access.
- This ensures the military infrastructure always has access; e.g. Hunters, Archivists, Commanders, etc.
Stormcrest Broadcasting Station
- A special-design Comm Tower that relays broadcasts to and from other Comm Towers.
- Is regularly used to broadcast major events, competitions, news, and entertainment through Endros.
- Broadcasts are delayed about 20 seconds per 10 kilometers of distance.
