Kratos

Kratos, God of Conquest

Kratos is a formidable Orc standing 2.4 meters tall, with tan skin marked by the scars of countless battles. As the God of Conquest, Kratos embodies military might and territorial expansion. He is typically adorned in his legendary Titan's armor, crafted by Aedron himself, with a crimson cape flowing from his shoulders. His most iconic possession is his relic-class greatsword "Dominion."

Domains and Powers

Though Kratos is rarely the strongest warrior on the field, his divine influence can command loyalty, morale, and coordination on the battlefield. He makes smaller contingents of soldiers act with the confidence, skill, and efficiency of a larger army. His mere presence can transform underdogs into triumphant warriors, while simultaneously spreading fear into the hearts of his enemies. Allied soldiers can instinctively coordinate with the whole, creating a nearly unstoppable force.

Kratos is tactically sound, but prefers to win through force. He's stubborn, aggressive, hot-headed, and wants to feel his enemies crushed under the weight of his superiority. In addition to his allied influence, he possesses a modest degree of enhanced strength and martial prowess.

Personality

Kratos has been at the center of many epic conflicts throughout history, driven by his insatiable thirst to subjugate and expand his influence. He imposes oppressive regimes over conquered territories, stripping resources to fuel his endless campaigns. He instigates conflicts between nations to create opportunities for conquest, indifferent to the suffering and chaos that result. Through the pursuit of power and the unification of all under his rule, he believes that only through his leadership can true order be achieved.

Despite his brutal nature, Kratos maintains a strict code of honor with his allies. He respects strength and valor, forging alliances through mutual benefit while expecting absolute loyalty. Betrayal is met with swift and unforgiving retribution.

Influence on Endros

Kratos's primary residence is in Titania, the capital city at the eastern warfront, when he is not participating in war campaigns. His War Citadel stands as the largest and most fortified palace in Endros, a physical manifestation of his power and authority. He leads the Titan Order, holding the Great Wall of Titania and battling over forward outposts that push into demonic territories.

Through the political system designed by Lexica and maintained by Concordia, Kratos sells titles of nobility. Kratos accepts this as tribute, allowing the noble to oversee a domain under his authority. This arrangement satisfies his desire for dominance while directing his ambitions toward the demonic threats rather than against the remaining human territories.

The Crucible, a system of his design, reflects his belief that society should thrive on dominance and proven strength. This high-risk contest system has become deeply embedded in Orckin culture, allowing rivals to settle disputes through wagered contests of skill and strength.

The Titan Order

The Titan Order serves as both Kratos's personal army and a quasi-religious organization devoted to his ideals. Members swear sacred oaths of loyalty and uphold his commandments as divine law. The annual Titan Games serve as a public celebration of his values, with the victor often receiving his Sacrament and elevation to the rank of Titan.

Across Endros, Kratos is viewed with a mixture of fear, annoyance, respect, and grudging gratitude. To many, he is a hero standing stalwart against the demonic hordes that threaten to overwhelm humanity's last refuge. To others, he represents a tyrant whose ambition knows no bounds. This duality has made him one of the most controversial yet undeniably essential figures in Endros's continued survival.

Divine Relationships

Kratos maintains a close alliance with Valkyrie, the Goddess of Battle, who joins most of his campaigns. Her presence on the battlefield, combined with Kratos's abilities, has proven absolutely devastating on countless occasions.

His relationships with most other Gods are strained at best. His aggressive expansionism and uncompromising nature have put him at odds with many divine entities. Though he is currently allied with Pyros and Tempest, their brutal conflicts of the past have not been forgotten. His threats against the Astralei ultimately forced them to leave Endros entirely, an action that had far-reaching consequences for the realm.
