Immortal Order

Immortal Order

The Immortal Order is a formidable, exclusive council of individuals united by the extraordinary gift of immortality; an extremely rare Anima power that ensures youth and longevity. Over time, they have hoarded power, wealth, and access, cementing their status as key players in Endros. It is no secret among the nobility that the immortals are established, opulent figures, nearly unchallengeable in their power.

Membership requires the immortal Anima to be verified beyond doubt. Prince Draven then raises the new immortal into a world of power, influence, and wealth, expecting absolute loyalty in return. The expectation is clear: deliver results, grow assets, and make big moves only on behalf of the Order and with permission.

Publicly, the immortals are renowned nobles and respected benefactors, frequently appearing as patrons of the arts, culture, and education. Beneath this veneer of noble responsibility, however, lies a network of covert operations, working methodically behind the scenes to shape events. They infiltrate institutions, fund loyalists, and launder influence through courts, guilds, and culture. They hire fixers for the dirty work and erase trails. They capture the levers of power that matter and control them through vetted proxies. Nothing significant happens without the Order's leave.

Organization and Control

Prince Draven, the eldest Immortal and founder of the Order, holds uncontested command as Patriarch. Everyone in the Order owes him their rise to power, and all real authority flows through him. He is ancient, ruthless, and learned. His network reaches everywhere; disloyalty ends careers and lives.

Any major move such as market capture, noble placement, sub‑network building, or diplomatic action requires the Order's approval. Without it, you move at your own risk, and the consequences can be dire. Each immortal supports the Order at Draven's request with funding and favors. Draven accelerates those he favors and stalls any elder who drifts. Growth that trends independently is trimmed quietly and early, though power is skewed in favor of elder members that have had more time to expand their empires.

Throughout his lifetime, Draven has had several immortals assassinated shortly after they were discovered; presumably those that angered him, posed a threat to his rule, or refused to join him. His assassinations, though reprehensible, were not illegal. Draven targeted immortals before they had ever gained noble status or protected rights. Some immortals may have escaped his fate by joining powerful orders, such as the Immortal Maiden Dahlia and the Immortal Archivist Aria.

Notable Figures

Prince Draven, the Patriarch of the Order, is master of secrets and mind sorcery. Very powerful Charm, Domination, and Mind Probing powers are confirmed; more is rumored. It is impossible to know what he is thinking, yet he can probe the minds of his allies and has a thousand levers to pull if he needs more. He wields potent sorcery that makes him personally dangerous and keeps a well‑paid, loyal entourage of elite protectors.

Bulldog is the Order's top enforcer, with centuries of expertly honed combat experience. He carries relic‑class arms and can put down Hunters. He is not political; he is loyal. When Draven needs violence, Bulldog is called upon to be the final word.

Prince Xavier, the second eldest in the Order, controls the Slave Market of Endros. He has established deeply racist and oppressive practices and legislation in an effort to enshrine Humans as the dominant race. His actions have been particularly oppressive to the Beastkin, whom he enslaves almost exclusively. He is believed to be the world's most powerful Sorcerer. Having trained for centuries, he has demonstrated his incredible power on rare occasions. Draven keeps Xavier's empire suppressed to a manageable level, and likely infiltrated with many loyalists, causing a growing tension between the two.

The Raven oversees Raveneye, shielding Draven from direct involvement while having his protection.

Tensions and Conflicts

Draven's expanding control threatens the balance of power throughout the world. However, an all-out war with the Immortal Order would be devastating, and other factions know this. Instead, many secret wars play out behind the scenes between very powerful factions, each trying to ensure that scales do not tip beyond their control.

Varlocke's growing scale breeds friction with Draven. For now, it is managed with the occasional public favor and a private collar‑tug.

Some members of the Order have joined other powerful factions, such as the Archivists Guild and the House of Maidens. These members are not attacked outright due to the protections of their new houses, but are instead "pushed aside" and kept at arm's length from the Order's core. Draven has made it clear that these are acts of betrayal, yet he has been unwilling to go to war with such powerful organizations.
