  • Lyra and her Maestros are the center of performance.
    • Broadcast frequently across the Stormcrest Broadcasting channels.
    • Tours, concerts, etc.
    • Each major city has a Maestro performing somewhat regularly, has more pass through.

Fashion

  • Nobles and high-ranking Adventurers have highly expressive fashion; raiments and regalia crafted by Sutra or magical clothsmakers.
  • Cultural differences exist.
    • Goldcoast has more desert-wear.
    • Orcs and Ogres better suited for it.

Tattoos

  • Common in Orc and Ogre society. Have military and cultural significance.
  • Less common in other areas. Some remote regions might have cultural significance.
  • Can involve magical integration. Drug use. Long-lasting drugs that take effect for several months. Alchemy effects.
  • Music, dance, and theater
  • Visual arts, crafts, and ornamentation
  • Fashion, clothing styles, and body modification
  • Tattoos, scars, and cultural symbols
  • Humor, jokes, and storytelling styles

Food & Cuisine

Food is enhanced through druidic magic to ensure the population has support.

  • Some areas struggle more than others.
  • Since a lot of resources are diverted to the military, food supply is critical.
  • Titania, Hearth, and the Goldcoast region import vast amounts of food from the west; e.g. Skywood, etc.
  • Dwarven colonies also import lots of food, even though they have some amount available. They also stock a lot.
  • Communal freezers are used to preserve food. Includes on merchant ships.
  • Orcs eat 2-3 times Humans, and Ogres eat 4-6 times what the rest do, so it's a ton of food to export out.
  • Those supply chains are important for humanity's survival.

Hunting can be dangerous in certain territories. Farming is more prolific. Meals are often more vegetarian.

Prayers are often said at meals.

Meals are typically eaten twice each day; breakfast and dinner.

  • Lunch is more about small gatherings and socializing, but may be had over snacks.

Etiquette & Conduct

  • Observe proper hospitality, gift, and table etiquette appropriate to one's station.
  • Address superiors with titles first, names second.
  • Bow or curtsy properly based on station.
  • Avoid interrupting those of higher status, and do not sit or rise before them.
  • Servants must be able to host meals correctly and in a timely fashion.

Health, Body & Medicine

Bathhouses High ranks use regalia / raiments to auto-groom. Hairstyles are auto-groomed with enchanted hairpins. Good life expectancy if you keep up your nutrition and don't die from demons. Healing is available at Sanctuaries.

  • Healing practices (herbal, magical, surgical)
  • Hygiene norms and bathing rituals
  • Mental health and emotional expression
  • Physical fitness or beauty standards
  • Life expectancy and death rituals

Life Expectancy:

  • Life expectancy is quite high. Healing services are widely available. Diseases and widescale viruses can be cured quickly.
  • Magical resilience also means that Adventurers mostly don't even get sick.
  • Even wounds that might be considered mortal wounds can be healed up.
  • Child mortality has practically been reduced to zero with Fertility Bands.

Hygiene:

  • Regular wash and hygiene, mostly communal. Bathhouses available in all cities, most towns, and some villages.
  • Magical healing is widely available, so disease and crippling illness is extremely rare.
    • Crippling damage can often be mitigated or removed entirely.
    • Some scarring is still normal.
    • Healing usually needs to be somewhat quick. If it goes for weeks or months, it might settle in to the body's "natural" form.
