Anointed
Anointed are mortals who have received a divine Sacrament: a direct investment of a God's essence that grants powers reflecting that God's nature. Because Sacraments are costly, most Gods can bestow them only once per year, and mortals can bear only one. Anointed are therefore not merely powerful individuals, but institutional anchors; they become the agents, champions, officers, healers, diplomats, artists, or overseers through whom a God's will enters society.
Alphas
Alphas are the Anointed of Varga, God of Beasts, chosen by proving supreme merit as a warrior. His Sacrament remakes body and will, making the recipient larger, stronger, faster, tougher, longer-lived, regenerative, and sharpened by predator instinct; some also develop unique Chi powers. Alphas commonly become Pack Leaders, tribal champions, or elite members of Varga's personal forces. Non-Beastkin who receive the Sacrament are transformed into a Softclaw Beastkin as part of the rite.
Archivists
Archivists are the Anointed of Lexica, Goddess of the Mind, recruited for intellectual excellence and severe reliability. Her Sacrament enhances their mental abilities, making them exceptional analysts, investigators, strategists, administrators, and intelligence agents. Within months of being Anointed, they receive surgically implanted Archivist Gems that connect them to Lexica's hive mind and synchronize them with advanced Mindshards. This hive-mind enables instant realm-wide telepathic communications, intelligence sharing, access to vast stores of knowledge, and direct oversight from Lexica herself.
Exalted
Exalted are the Anointed of Valkyrie, Goddess of Battle, and are among the rarest and most desired martial champions in Endros. Valkyrie grants her Sacrament only to warriors who impress her in direct combat, giving them supernatural reflexes, resilience, and battle intuition that place them among the most formidable individual fighters alive. Exalted usually continue through an existing martial institution, either the Adventurer's Guild or Titan Order, with the privileges of the corresponding title.
Hunters
Hunters are the Anointed of Artemis, God of Hunting, selected from elite adventurers who have proven themselves against the world's most dangerous threats. His Sacrament enhances athleticism, instinct, perception, and lethal precision, making Hunters some of Endros's most capable demon-slayers. They receive Reavers from the Onyx armory, command extraordinary privilege within the Adventurer's Guild, take on high-risk contracts, and often become famous under chosen Hunter Names.
Maestros
Maestros are the Anointed of Lyra, Goddess of Revelry, chosen from extraordinary performers in music, dance, or the performing arts, most famously during the Bard's Jubilee. Her Sacrament lets them evoke emotion with supernatural intensity, transforming performance into a force that can captivate audiences, shape public mood, and carry cultural influence across Endros. Maestros are elite artists, teachers, counselors, and cultural figures within the Bardic College and beyond, often receiving Aethertech instruments or performance artifacts as signs of their station.
Maidens
Maidens are the Anointed of Concordia, Goddess of Pacts, selected from the elite of the House of Maidens and the signing of a final pact whose terms remain secret. Her blessing grants charm, empathy, social clarity, and a binding relationship to Concordia's pacts, making their vows of discretion absolute. Recognizable by lace chokers and Maiden Regalia, they act as courtiers, confidantes, diplomats, lobbyists, arbiters, and information brokers throughout Endros, while their deeper mission remains known only to the House and Concordia.
Saints
Saints are the Anointed of Amara, Goddess of Compassion, chosen from Priests who demonstrate extraordinary selflessness. Her Sacrament grants miraculous healing, purification, and anti-demonic power, allowing Saints to cure diseases, mend terrible wounds, and cleanse demonic blights beyond the reach of ordinary Prana sorcery. They oversee Sanctuaries, anchor the Church of Amara, and serve the Adventurer's Guild as invaluable healers and support specialists.
Sirens
Sirens are the Anointed of Ursula, Goddess of the Sea, usually chosen from exceptional Merfolk and transformed into her most trusted agents. Her Sacrament grants shapeshifting into nearly any humanoid form of similar size over one to two days, powerful regeneration, extended youth, and enchanting vocal abilities. Sirens serve as leaders, ambassadors, sorcerers, spies, recruiters, adventurers, and guardians of Ursula's oceanic empire, able to move through land-dwelling society without revealing their true nature.
Starborn
Starborn are the Anointed of Adonis, God of Fate, chosen from among exceptional Astralei to serve as his trusted disciples and overseers of sensitive Astralei affairs. His Sacrament grants them the ability to perceive and interpret branching paths of potential, allowing them to recognize consequential choices, anticipate dangerous convergences, and judge how small interventions may shape future outcomes. They are especially gifted at strategic pattern recognition, trial design, the Astralei Codex, and the mysterious forces behind portals, Dungeons, and Trials of Fate.
Titans
Titans are the Anointed of Kratos, God of Conquest, elevated from elite warriors who prove exceptional martial ability, loyalty, and dedication to his doctrine. His Sacrament augments strength, battlefield awareness, command presence, and the ability to inspire loyalty, immediately raising the recipient to officer status within the Titan Order. Titans receive iconic red Titan Armor, command soldiers on the eastern warfront, and may become Warlords or nobles within Titania, where only Titans can hold noble authority.
